The only way you can be completely sure of not having contracted a STD is if you have abstained from sex. Knowing your partner well and keeping the trust of faith alive by not indulging in a sexual intercourse with another individual outside the relationship is essential to minimize the risk of a STD. If you have had unprotected sex with a stranger, the only way to know if you have contracted a STD is by undergoing the prescribed tests.

If you're a sexually active individual the urge for sexual intercourse will always be high. Make sure sense prevails in the choices you make. Be insistent on using protection every time you have sex. Protected sex is the only way that can reduce the chances of getting a STD. A careless attitude when having sex with a new partner can lead to complications later, so instead of being sorry about it on a later date, all one needs to do is be less impulsive in the present.
